I am trying a new vegetable this year in my garden. I found some asparagus roots at Home Depot on one of our latest shopping trips. We eat asparagus every week and I would love to be able to say that I grew my own so I bought some. They are actually growing! Asparagus is a three year minimum crop. The roots that I bought are 2 years old so next spring I should be able to have my first harvest. This is what they look like right now.
